Ever sold something and wish you didnt?

The only thing ever was my Commodore 64C system.  Dual floppy drives, mps 802(or 3) printer, Avatex 1200 modem.  But it wasnt that..it was my shoebox full of software.. 200+ disks, along with some of my own code.  Sold it for a Amiga 500.  I dont regret the a500, just wish I could find the system/software.

I remember a few years back when I chucked away loads of early Amiga mags (all the ST Amiga Formats, plus a few others). Totally gutted, wish i had them all back now. :-(

I was furious when my dad sold our ZX Spectrum 48k, somewhere around '85 or '86. I just couldn't believe it.
He said that he sold it because a "new" computer would be purchased sometime soon, so he only did it as an ugrade, so to say. Anyway, 6 months later we received a C64. :-)
It was a very fun machine for us, however I could never forgive my father for selling the speccy! :-)

I regretted selling my Speccy 48k years ago, but I had to to get the money for a +2 so it wasn't that bad.

I do regret selling all my Star Wars toys though (sold them in the late 80s early 90s before the resurgence happened).  Didn't have any of the boxes, but they were all in excellent nick despite having been played with constantly for about 10 years :-D

Then again, if I did still have them they'd be up in the loft making a nice home for spiders.

My A3000 was a mistake to sell. Watching it get pulled apart and sold part by art on ebay was the worst thing I ever had to go through.

Hmm, can't think of something I have regreted selling, but I have one thing I ever regreted buying, and that was the Elbox Mirage tower for A4k. I ordered it brandnew, and have only fitted the A4k mobo once. It has been pulled out once again, as the tower isn't worth anything IMHO.

Mirage line of towers for A1200/A3000/A4000 quality wise is not much greater than standard PC cases. They are however the only choice. Well, at least as far as A3000 and A4000 go. For A1200, other companies are converting some very cool looking and quality ATX towers, with Mediator and G-rex compatibility.

I much more liked the old Power Tower line, than the new Mirage. It was more spacey, at least for the A4000.

What i regret the most was when I had to sell my A4000 in MicroniK ISA tower with CS060 MK1 and CV64 back 5 years ago or so. Basicly I didn't have a roof over my head the next month if I didn't do something so did something drastic... sold the computer and invested the money in materials to restore a house.

If I didn't need the $ and it wasn't for the fact that I never used the machines and they took up too much space I would probably not have sold my 2 A2000, 2 A3000 and 2 A4000 but there's just so many machines that one can use at any given time. :-D

The Mirage4000 tower is an ok tower but it is a bit cramped yes (it's a shoebox compared to the MicroniK bigtower).

I'll make my own converted ATX tower for my A4000 (a black ATX fulltower with window would match the black theme on the machine with black keyboarc, mouse and soon monitor also) so I can fit everything I want in it but it takes time and every measure need to be just right so it'll be when I have time to sit down a weekend and just do that.

Yes, I sold my C64 Load-It cassette deck. Now I've been looking for one but there are only overpriced non-working std decks :-x

I still have an A3000+ so I am not to sad about it. Still sucked watching the original one I had get parted out. Its just in a stock case and I paid way to much for it. No Amber circuits in those, so I cant use it since I dont have a RGB monitor.

Why don't you eBay the A3000+. Just imagine how much $$$ it could land. Did you by any chance buy it from SoftHut?

Do you use your A1200? It's a great system if you ever feel the need to return to the custom chipset feel.

I believe that it's possible to buy other A4k towers than the Mirage towers. I seem to remember having seen a black customized tower (customized for Mediator) for sale at an Amiga online store. I think that it's next to impossible to find a tower as crappy as the Mirage, and I many time been tempted to give it a kick or two.

I prefer constructing a new backplate for a nicer looking, and nicer build tower instead, just as Brian suggest. In fact, I'm looking for a cool tower at the moment so I can towerise my A4k, and use the Mediator board that came with the Mirage tower.
