I have done the service for those cards between 1997 and 1999. There's hardly anything you can do on your own (other than removing the FPU and setting the NoFPU jumper), because most parts that break on a regular basis are programmed, and I don't have a possibility to get these parts any more.
I have done those repairs in-house at ACT Electronics in Recklinghausen, Germany, so I had access to the programming equipment and files, but the owner of the company would not let me make "de-centralized backups" ;-)
The only thing you could try is exchanging the data bus drivers/latches. Always use the exact same types (F or LS), the timing is critical.
Memory timing on that thing is also critical. Only use 60ns 2-chip or 4-chip modules. Try running the thing without memory, if that helps, use different modules.
