Contiki is an OS for many 8bit systems, including the C64.

Well I am able to set it up and use it myself, no problem. I have been giving a customer some support trying to help him set his C64 with Contiki and RR-Net so he can get online. Very nice guy, we've been exchanging many emails. I don't think he is terribly familiar with networking in general. I was just hoping maybe there was a step by step guide online somewhere for Contiki, a newbie guide.

Worst come to worst I'll call him and try to walk him through it. Maybe someone here knows of, or made their own guide(with a networking novice in mind) online.

What all do you need to use Contiki?  I've been itchin' to use this 128D but have not found an interesting enough project thus far.

That's the guy who sailed on the Kon-Tiki (a glorified wooden raft), Thor Heyerdahl, from South America to Polynesia. Thus proving that ancient South Americans could've colonised Polynesia. He's the same guy who sailed on the Ra (a fragile papyrus boat) from Africa to South America. Thus proving that Egyptians _could_ have reached South America.

Clickety-click.

One of the few famous Norwegians :-).

@Redrumloa:

It's a German forum, but they won't shoot you (or your friend) if you post a question in English:

http://forum-64.de/wbb2/

They have a dedicated sub forum for RR-Net/Contiki (go to "Neue Hardware", then "RR-Net / Contiki") and there are some pretty experienced guys over there - including some that used said setup to connect their C64 to their LAN and bowse the net with Contiki.
