missing manuals! Help please.
« on: September 06, 2004, 03:44:37 AM »
Over many years buying 2nd-hand amigas, I have accumulated a large collection of original software (mostly games).
Now there is one problem with original software over cracked in that IF ONE LOSES THE COPY-PROTECT THEN ONE IS ****ED.
MOS was once a useful tool for finding manuals, but that is sadly not the case now.

I need manuals for:
Hired Guns
Globdule
Elvira 2
Jetstrike
And one or two others but I can't remember (probably not that good anyway)

I could send photo verification of original disks if your a paranoid anti-pirate, but really... what am I going to want with old manuals when I could just get a cracked version (or crack it myself).

Also floppy disks have a habit of dying (i hear the magnetic pull of the earth will do it [unless you rotate your disks 90o every year or so]), so i am also looking for ADF's of the original (not cracked).

Hired guns (D.1&5)
Soccer Kid (D.1-not the boot disk)
And maybe some others have died that I don't yet know.

I could get cracked versions, but these often have problems. i.e. with hired guns the save function will not work properly.

P.S. does anyone know where I can buy the amiga version of 'Putty Squad', preferably in AU/NZ

@anikirob

PuttySquad does not exist on the Amiga..........it was never fully released. the only thing that exists is a demo of the game with quite a few levels.

I have the demo and its great aside from the stupid tiny screen with the black borders....for some reason programmers think they couldnt make it full screen. To me it just shows they just wanted to port the thing as soon as possible.

Its still pretty darn good though. But I feel empty that its not complete just like a HUGE percentage of many Amiga games............I hate blacck empty borders...........I like Games in full blown NTSC Overscan. Like at least 352 x 240

Anyways enough of my Babbling.

CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

352 x 240 isn't that PAL (340x256 with black borders) :-?
