mmu.library and powerpacker...
« on: August 25, 2004, 10:59:16 AM »
Hi guys, need help here (as always...)

It seems that my Miggy cannot load powerpacked files anymore... in the end I came with a solution: mmu-aware 68060.library is not compatible with powerpacker.library... or so I think...

My Amiga 1200 boots on Piru's v.44.1b4 exec using Blizkick and the above mentioned 68060mmu.library...
pp.library is the latest found on Aminet.
Have u ever encountered such probs? Any help?
Thanx! :-D

p.s.
do you know of any oxypatcher replacement for mmu.library?
No, muredox doesn't work so well with some software (i.e.: demos and intros)
On the other hand, 68060mmu.lib works very well with a lot of software...

I don't see how mmu.lib could interfere with powerpacker.lib. PP doesn't use the MMU or any transcendental math.

And no, I had no problems. I used mmu.lib and pp.lib along side for a long time. Still do.

What do you mean by "Piru's v.44.1b4 exec"?

@kennyR

Yes I know, but disabling the mmu-aware 68060.library (not the mmu.lib itself, warn you! ;) and re-enabling the phase5 68060.lib, powerpacked files work again...

@bloodline

I mean an original 1200 kickstart, grabbed and patched with piru's exec v44.1

I didn't know Piru had written a new Exec... is the archive on Aminet?
