Chinon FZ-354 as DF0: in A1200
« on: August 23, 2004, 01:42:53 PM »
Hi there.

I have trouble to get an external Chinon FZ-354 Drive to work as DF0: in an A1200

I´ve jumpered as DF0: and tested completly all other jumpers.
It will be shown as DF0: in OS3.9 but it sounds terrible if i try to access to it.
Cable is a original A600 floppy cable.

Any ideas how to jumper ?? MM, MD, HD... ???

Thanks and greets

First question is this a Commodore or Amiga Technologies A1200?  IIRC, the AT has a slightly different floppy controller which could cause problems.

Also, I assume the drive works/worked as an external?

The FZ-354 should work with no changes except maybe the DS.  I just put one in my A3000 so I'll check the jumpers when I get home.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

I think the 'PC' Amiga Tech drives are Panasonics.

-edit-
Oh you said 'floppy controller'...hmmm, I don't really think there's an actual difference between C= and AT A1200 mobos.

Its an Amiga Technologies!

It works as external!

Hm, i thought only the floppy itselfs has changed in Amiga Technologies A1200? (You need the Floppy fix...) But this is an "real" Amiga Floppy ;-))

Would be very nice if you could post your settings...
Thanks!
