My Dreamcast & other animals
« on: August 07, 2004, 04:52:02 PM »
I was passing 'Gamestation' today, which recently openned in Skittyhorpe.  They've got recon Dreamcasts at £23!  Certainly a good price for something with a warranty.

Also had N64s, piles of MegaDrive games and a whole load of Saturn ones too (I guess the games have outlasted the consoles!), plus older stuff like NES games.

Anyway, I figured some people might want to keep an eye out for this store in their town, as it seems ideal for any retro-consoling, especially given that the DC usually goes for more than that on ebay :-)

Unfortunately nothing CD32 shaped, but I'll keep 'em peeled ...

dc's are cool because you can burn demos and homebrew stuff for them. they aren't too tough to develope for.

We've got about 40 or 50 Saturn games here, about 60 or 70 N64 games and about 30 or 40 Mega Drive games - plus other stuff :-) Lots of original DC controllers too.

I suspect they may have bought some stock from Cash Converters which is just up the road.  I hope it lasts, nice to have a shop to wander into and browse with retro things on the shelves - maybe the current retro trade will continue and it'll be enough turnover to keep in the store :-?

For the US gamers, EBGames has a deal that if you buy 3 DC games priced at 4.99 and up you get a free used DC!  It's in participating retail stores.  I'm going to go get a spare and some games I'm missing. :-)
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Wow, thats good value!  I'm surprised they're this cheap to be honest, considering how many of the games are so good on it ...
