Amiga A(A)2000 questions
« on: August 05, 2004, 05:34:47 PM »
Since the Original Amiga 2000 had only half a video slot is there an adaptor that plugs into one of the custom chips available that would give a full video slot?

Can an adaptor be made for the agnus chip socket to convert it to use a standard plcc style agnus chip?

Is there anyway of getting 2 floppy drives onto the very original motherboard since there is no jumper there to enable or disable internal df1: .
Thanks

Video-slot: Should work, but most of the signals on the 2nd half aren't really needed for FFs and similar.

FAT-Agnus also includes the controller for the Chip-RAM and other things that were seperate chips on the A1000/A2000A.
So no chance....
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Was there ever an adaptor made that plugged into the denise chip on the A500 that gave you a full video slot on a cable?

If there was would it be compatible with the A2000?

Thanks

At least there was a Denise adapter that took the signals to a PicassoIV to allow PicassoIV to be used with Video Toaster in A2000 or enable PicassoIV FliFi in an A500 tower with Zorro slots but without a functional video slot - like my Micronik A500 tower.

On one post I saw the A(B)2000 or I wasn't looking properly.
