A NIC on the A3k would be the fastest way.

A paralell cable could work, I suppose, but it's probably easier to get a null-modem cable, and then use some terminal program to transfer the files.

You can use "NetWork PC" from "Weird Sience",
with a parralel-cable.
I have connected my A4000 with WinXP-Pro PC,
and it works fine!

I thought the paralell connectons where different from pc to amiga. I was warned that I could harm both computers with a standard paralellcable.

But this was on Amiga500.

@assmund

Yes, beware, Amigas like to put a nice 5V out on some ports. PCs dont' do that, and it can hurt them.

Yep, I know about that... Fried my PC motherboard while attaching a laplink cable when both computers were on... :)

But if you connect the cable whan both computers are off, then it shouldnt be a problem...

Yes, that's right, but I use a modified parralel-cable.
Works great on my A4000 & A600!

Thanks folks,

I installed Amiga forever from Cloanto with a Serial Null-modem cable and it works fine. The program only costs 35$

Only it takes time...... a 44Mb removable media from Syquest takes between 4 an 8 hours to transfert....
Windows tells 1h 33m but it takes mutch longer.

I have 16 Hd's so it will take me some time.
