Posting guidelines updated : Avatar usage
« on: July 30, 2004, 04:02:54 PM »
Good morning,

Based on several complaints that we have received recently, the Posting Guidelines (available via the menu at left) have been revised to include the following which will take effect immediately.  Check your avatar.  If it falls within the following, change it.

Quote

Regarding the use of Avatars.
The use of avatars is intended to allow people to express a little about themselves. We reserve the right to remove avatars of a questionable nature, such as those containing "near nudity", cleavage, or other matter which is of a potentially offensive nature. Please remember that to the users of this site, Amiga.org is considered to be family-friendly. Anything less results is us being banned at workplaces, public access points and other areas.

Specifically, we need to eliminate a number of sexually explicit avatars which are drawing complaints.

Wayne:

It really looks like your avatar has his/her mind on sex.  At least that is the expression one of my friends get on their face when they think about it. :-D

But I agree on the whole.  Particularly with respect to one of the avatars which frequently pops up.

A smiling kitten has nothing sexually explicit about it, unless there is something you would like to discuss with your local mental health affiliate.

Sorry guys, based on the complaints that I'm hearing, my sense of humor is somewhat quelled on this matter.  If your avatar is sexually explicit, please change it.

The ONLY person I've ever seen with a suggestive avatar is
iamaboringperson who last time had a woman in a black dress that had
popped open, and the current one is a bikini clad woman's butt!

Oh the misery if these simple joys were to be removed...

:-( :-( :-( :-D :-D :-D

:roflmao: sorry

The only thing I'd find offensive (at least in this environment :)) is a zoomed in picture of a lady's a*se cleavage...
