Please help with my vidi amiga/vidi rgb

Hi there,

I own a Vidi Amiga (black one, looks almost the same except for the connectors and the red button (button is not there))

and a Vidi RGB


but what excactly do I need to connect?

with the Vidi RGB: 1 parallell port connector, so I can put that on the parallell port.
1 joystick cable, connect it on the joystick port?
1 chinch calbe, is that my video in?
1 chinch input, is THAT my video in? (colored red)
2 pot meters, what to do with them?
1 button? what does it do?
1 adapter input, what does it need?

The vidi Amiga has:

1 parallell port connector
2 pot meters
1 chinch input
1 cable with floppydrive connector? (maybe for power?)

but it is NOT the white vidi amiga RT or vidi amiga 12

as you understand I bought them once without any manuals (but with software but it doesn't seem to detect the devices or I'm doing something wrong)

can anybody explain the devices or give me some instructions from the manual? what software do I need?

I don't know what the RGB thing is, but I have a Vidi Amiga 24 RT right here and all I ever had to do was to connect it to the Amiga, plug in a video source, and load up the software. How different can it be for yours?

well it is different as that doesn't work.
did yours also have a diskdrive-port-calbe on it?

No. It's got a power jack, and three input deals. Two are RCA and the third is S-video I think...there's no labels.

Perhaps yours are just broken.

Well, I could throw out a wild guess....  I don't have one of your model, so I don't know if this is correct, or not....

But my thought is that you'd need a sync (blackburst?) on the sync cable, and a TBC'd input on the sync input.  

In other words, I might guess that the model you have probably requires a TBC.  

Also, I probably wouldn't plug that DB-9 into a joystick port.  It may actually be a serial output for controlling said TBC.  Of course, it could be some kind of joystick dongle, too.  Unless you can scare up some documentation or start checking what signals it outputs, you're kind of going to be stuck.  :-(

My white Vidi Amiga 24RT only has standard inputs/outputs, and doesn't require a TBC, and only plugs to the parallel port.  :-/
