Amiga CD32 with Promodule HD installation problem
« on: July 26, 2004, 10:29:55 AM »
Hi.
I've got Amiga CD32 with Promodule extension. I can put there 3,5" hd
Now i have 2 preatty old hd drives:
conner cp-3044 - 40mb
rodime r03259a - 210 mb

On Pc both are working but i cant use any of them on amiga.

Conner is starting coz i can hear its working and led is on when starting. Problem is that hdinstal program show no hd drive to select   :-? . (checked with every jumpers position).

Rodime doesn even wanted to start and i can hear noise like pik... pik... pik... on most jumpers position and there is one positon when its preaty loud :-x .

Thanks for any help  :-)

PS. Sorry for my poor english.

sounds a lot like low power!

do you still use only the standard CD32-psu?
if you only use the standard-PSU of the CD32 try connecting a second one (a standard Amiga-PSU) to the promodule.

That sounds like a broken harddrive. :-(
