Laptop MicroA1 version

Is it possible to [color=003399]create a laptop with a MicroA1 ?[/color]
I think of a real portable computer, not a 10kg hand made large wood case  :lol:

If it's possible, [color=003399]what are the inconveniences[/color] & technical problems ?

The Mini-ITX form factor is not suited to a laptop case.

The Ports are all in the wrong palce, the Components stick up too high, and the cooling solutions are in the wrong place. The Board itself probably doesn't support any low power/low heat modes, and probably would only run for 7 and a half minutes on a battery.

Get a PDA instead :-D

Laptop motherboards often have a custom shape (not always a square one) in order to make CD-ROMs, batteries, etc fit inside the small case.



The backside row of connectors on the A1 is also too high for a laptop case, and it will probably be quite difficult to fit the CPU card as well, since it sits on top of a connector plus there has to be room for the cooling on top the CPU.
