Hi Neko,
What I should have said was that those are the highest screen resolutions that you can use for each screen size and still be able to read the text and see the icons. Sure you can change them to a much higher resolution, but it will look like crap! Have you ever wondered why the standard screen resolution for the internet is 800 X 600?
Neko, do not call me stupid. Just because you do not agree with me does not mean that I am stupid. In fact, it may just mean that I do know what I am talking about.
I have tried setting my ViewSonic 17" monitor on my PC to 1024 X 768 resolution. It looked like crap. The text and icons were too small. Also, most of my programs prefer 800 X 600. So, every time I would launch a program, I would here the relays in the monitor click to change the screen resolution. Why should I put my monitor through this unnecessary wear and tear, when I could just leave the monitor set at 800 X 600 to begin with?
Keep in mind that I NEVER have hardware related problems with any of my many computers, but you guys do have problems. So, what does common sense tell you about that? It tells me that the person that NEVER has hardware related problems MUST KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING AND IS NOT STUPID AFTERALL !!!! :-D
