Selling cables, hardware, software, cables.
« on: July 08, 2004, 11:28:34 PM »
I still have a bunch of stuff to sell. I'll start this thread with the cables and over the next few days I'll post the software and hardware lists. Pictures and descriptions are on the website I set up for that purpose (http://www.geocities.com/cablepics/index.html). You can go there if you want to check the stuff out before I get the other lists posted to this thread.

So, here's the cables.

Code: [Select]

X1........DB8 M/M
X3........DB8 M/F
X8........DB8M-DIN8M
X4........DB9 M/F
876.......DB9F - MINIDIN8M
X10.......DB9F-DB25M
X5,C1.....DB23F - DIN6M
C2........DB23F-DB9F
S1,X7.....DB23F-DB9M
X11.......DB23F-DH15F
S2....... DB23F-DH15M
172.......DB25 F/F
X13.......DB25 M/M
m2........DB25 M/M
m3........DB25 M/F
S3........DB25F-DIN8M
X12.......DB25M-DB25M
S5,m1.....DB25M-DB23M
187,Z10...DB25F - 36M Centronics
Z3,9,13...DB25M - 36M Centronics
Z8,11,12..DB25M - 50M Centronics
Z1,2,4,7..DB37 M/F
S4........DH15 M/M
m4,5,6....DH15 M/M
m7........DH15 M/F
X2........50M Centronics - SCSI2 MALE
Z5,6......Centronics-50 M/M
173.......MINIDIN8 M/M
X9........E8P-E8P-10

Left column are the codes to find the cables on the site and to tell me which one you want so I can find them in the box. Multiple codes means that there's something different (length, etc.) about certain cables that have the same end connectors. The right column are the connectors. Please, read the description or ask questions (by PMail, or in this thread if you like) about the cable you want. I have no way to test most of these cables, but the ones I've sold so far (or used myself) have worked. Some are unused/in original packaging, but most are "previously loved". :-)

Serious offers considered seriously. You pay shipping. Make an offer for all of them if you like...please. ;-)

Software List
« Reply #1 on: July 09, 2004, 10:33:45 PM »
I have a goat load of productivity and utility software to unload. I'd prefer you took this all at once (make an offer), but I will piece it out -- just make an offer; I'm willing to haggle. Everything fits into two boxes. One box weighs about 26 pounds, and the other weighs about 23 pounds (on a home scale). If you take the lot, you'll get those two boxes. PMail me your zip code (or country name if not in USA) and I'll calculate the shipping costs for you.

The webpage (http://geocities.com/cablepics/software/software.html) for this bunch of software has some more details and a (link to the) giant picture of everything in the lot.

There is a total of 86 disks.

Included in the lot are:

Here's the HARDWARE LIST.

Hardware is listed in the order it is on the website (http://www.geocities.com/cablepics). Line feeds indicate a new page on the site, starting with page 1. Click through to the homepage for cables and software. Please read the descriptions and check out the pictures  on the website so you know what you're getting. Asking questions (here or PMail) is good, too. I may eventually ebay this stuff, but right now it's there for you to have a crack at. SO, get cracking! :-D

Hey, weirdami, are these things still for sale?

Why, yes, weirdami, they are.

Are they headed for ebay so I should make an offer and snatch them up as fast as I can?

Yes, that is right. I am still taking offers and will put the remaining items on ebay.

Ugh. The problem with just sitting down and going through and putting everything up on ebay all at once is that you have to know how much everything weighs so you can have the proper shipping info. :-(

I was just about to put my C=64 Programmers Reference and Machine Language for Beginners on ebay but then I realized I don't know how much they weigh and I could't just put them up without shipping cost. :-( My living room is taken over by surplus Amiga parts, software and books.

Now I need to buy a postal scale off of ebay just so I can sell all my stuff on ebay. :-/
