Returning to the Amiga
« on: July 08, 2004, 04:07:44 PM »
Hello all,
I've just posted to Amiga.org for the first time so I guess I should do an intro.

I had an A500 in the 80's and returned to the miggy about 18 months ago when a friend decided to get rid of the A4000D he'd had in his loft for a while. I never knew he had one.

Now I've got 2 A4000's and an A1200   :-D

Ian.

Heya,

I'm pretty new back to the miggy scene as well. I never really carried on much after the magazines (Amiga Format and then AmigaActive) went kaput.
Could someone explain to me what exactly has happened/is happening with AmigaOne/OS4 and the whole kaboodle or point me in the direction of a place where i can find out what has been happening.

Oh and you say you have two A4000s? would that mean one is a spare A4000? ;)

(Apologies for completely OT)...

Hey, Blobrana,

I dont suppose you know (or sites detailing) how to connect a Minolta Dynax 5 to a Meade 4504?  I've hunted around but I cant seem to find any rings/mounts for the 0.965" eyepiece. 8-)

Cheers

Rich

One is:
Cyberstorm 060 MkII
XSurf
A2320 SD/FF
Tandem IDE for the CD
CV 64/3D
82(?)Mb RAM
OS3.9

The other is a standard 030 model

I ended up with 2 when I bought a second machine minus CPU card cheap because the case was white and it had a Rev11 buster, by the time I'd done building the souped up one I had enough bits to get the spare one running. The kids are using the 'spare' one with a Miracle Piano Teacher keyboard until I put a HDD in the 1200...
The beauty of the 030 is that software that doesn't like the 060 runs happily on the 030.

Thanks for the welcome all :-)
