Progressive 2000/040 Jumper Settings or Manual
« on: July 08, 2004, 05:31:55 AM »
Hi everybody,

I installed a Progressive 2000/040 board in my Amiga 2500 computer today.  My computer was working fine before I installed this board, but now I get a blinking power light and a green screen.  Does anyone know how to set the jumpers on the Progressive 2000/040 board?  Or can anyone email me the manual?

The jumpers look like this:

A  IIII    B  IIII    C  IIII

    1234        1234        1234
My favorite TV shows:  Star Trek Voyager, Forever Knight, Stargate SG1, Married with Children, As Time Goes By, Mr. Bean, Smallville, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Xena

No problem.  They're good cards.  I have a Mercury 040/35MHz in my A3000 Professional Computer.

Well the board works until I install the software, then it just hangs on bootup.  Also, the 8 1-meg simms do not show up in SysInfo or in Workbench.  I am at a loss.

I used FastExec from Aminet to make my old PP&S Zeus' RAM available, plus a few other odds and ends. This is the line I had before SetPatch:

C:FastExec AddMem 0x8000000 0x2000000 5 10 Address 0x8000000 FastExp FastSSP FastVBR FastMEM FastINT Reboot

Depending on the amount of RAM installed, you'll have to adjust the second value after ADDMEM. 0x2000000 enables 32MB. For 8MB you'd use 0x800000. I'll let you figure out other values. ;-)
I sold my Amiga for a small fortune, but a part of my soul went with it.
