« on: January 27, 2003, 11:35:46 PM »
I insalled Pinacle TV card, connected cableTV to it,
installed all stuff needed for running, but there are
no channels. TV card is working because i connected VCR
with composite cable and that is OK!

I'm useing SuperTV by Tickly:-D, and its pretty good program!

Maybe is problem because there is no my "Region", and "other"
does not work. I tryed all regions but not good!
Crying shame!

The first thing to check is that you are using the correct picture format for your region. I'm not sure what PAL or NTSC encoding Croatia uses, i'm afraid (anyone?!)

Once you have the correct picture format, if NONE of the presets for any region gives you a picture, but you CAN get pictures with a TV set and the same aerial, it'll just be a case of trial and error with the PLL i guess... :(

If none of the presets are of any use for Croatia, but someone out there has a list of PLL's for a Croatia region, i would be more than happy to add it into SuperTV...

(A new SuperTV version should be out this weekend, btw.)

Tickly,

Does your program support the hauppage family of TV cards? Namely the wintv go?

Will there be an OS4 version for the A1?

Cheers

Also make sure the cable is plugged into the tv ant connector not the fm connector. A friend of mine did this.

I have a Macromedia ProTV card in my Mac and since installing the most recent drivers I get no channels either. Different card same problem, but I found reinstalling my original (buggy) software made it work again. So much for patches fixing everything.

Some TV capture card drivers don't automatically install the windows capture drivers (WMF files).

They sometimes put them into a subdirectory on a local hard drive (C:) for you to install manually.

The ATI TV Wonder is a prime culprit.

Anyway it does no harm to download and install the latest WMF drivers from you card's website.

This usually does the trick.

Actually, we say \\"system\\" but what we really mean is \\"Windows\\".
If you like, you can wait and see if the \\"system\\" recovers.
It won\\\'t, but it will give yo

Well it sure does no good, since the WMF drivers does not work on a Amiga.

Since it is just a frontend for Elbox's tv.library, it supports whatever cards are listed on Elbox's site.

Again, since it is just a frontend for Elbox's tv.library, it should work anywhere that someone has created a compatible library. (which is currently nowhere other than on mediators).
