WHDLoad crash on my A600
« on: July 07, 2004, 05:36:40 PM »
My Whdload installed games starts/works perfectly after Whdload v16.2 is freshly installed but after a reboot none of my games start and I just get the usual black screen with the red text "software failure blabla".
Never had this type of problem on my A1200 this thing has started to happen now when I've started using my upgraded A600 which works perfect with all other applications.
Does anyone here know what is changed when I reboot and causes the Whdload crash?

info on my my A600: 3.1 rom, WB3.1, 1mb chip, 8mb fast, 030 @ 42mhz.

Do you have a fan on that 030?

which is it the Viper Square shaped card?

it may be your card.
I also recommend getting anothe Meg of ChipRAM. I have no problems with my A600 030.
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

Maybe some of the system changes WHDLoad makes aren't getting reset when you warm reboot.  Is it when you warm reboot out of a game or exiting the game and then just rebooting?  What tooltypes are you using, and what settings do you have in your config file?

Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

This thing happens on both warm/cold boots.
The crash occurs when I start the game from WB.
Don't know what tooltypes or config file I have Workbench 3.1 is just installed without any mods and Whdload v16.2 is also just installed without doingf anything further.
I've just started to learn some of the fundementals about Amiga's after been away from them for 11 years and when I had Amiga I just used it for gaming which I regret now.
