Huh... Weird people, to seal something as beautiful as an Amiga inside a box where no-one can see it... :)

Anyway, I don´t think it´s going to be very difficult to aquire an Amiga. Amiga 500:s aren´t exactly rare, and if you look around in local ads, or perhaps put a wanted ad in a newspaper yourself, I´m sure you could find one... Just make sure you also get a copy of the Amiga Operating System, Workbench, or as mentioned before X-Copy, otherwisr you wont be able to copy the disks.

Just out of curiosity, what Amiga model is it your company is using, and to do what? If you´re not at liberty to say, then you shouldnt, of course... :)

I guess I'm now looking for someone local with a functioning Amiga. Anyone here from the northeast US?

Not really, for me.  I'm in metro Detroit.  There is an upstate New York Amiga group that appears to be active, though.  I'd probably try getting in touch with them.

Sounds like a mueseum kiosk. What specific details do you know about the machine? Where is it used, and do you have any idea how old it is? 10 years vs 17 years will make a difference in what model it could possibly be.
