Why not just use AROS x86 on a x86 MAC  -- I mean, why settle for anm old G4 MAC when you can power up a cheap iMac x86 which looks way cooler :-)
AROS x86 already run just fine on x86 Macs... So that not a challenge. What is interesting here is to see how An AmigaOS would run on 68k machine that were around at the time of the Amiga.

I think Atari aficionados enjoy their OS as much as we enjoy ours.

I miss the old Amiga-Atari flame wars, they were much more fun than the (pointless) ones going on here currently. You got to argue about hardware you did have rather than about hardware that doesn't exist.

A very fast Atari clone which could be running AROS 68k.  Also there have been Atari 68060 clones for years.

It would be cool if someone used the executor sources to build a toolbox layer in AROS 68k so that classic macintosh applications would run inside wanderer, sort of like wine does with windows.

I've been wishing for such a thing for OS4 and PPC Mac apps for a while. Surely a uge undertaking to reimplement some other OS's API, but I think it would be great, even if PPC has now dwindled to near nothing in Mac software. I used to love Shapeshifter to run Netscape and a few games, it would be great to do that without the MacOS itself. (even if that means instead using some other replacement of MacOS)

Actually i think might come out handy for the x68000 :)

That would be immense! Do you have one? Only 68k computer that's more powerful than the Amiga (when it was released in '87).

no, i don't have one, even though it was on my wishlist since i got knowledge of its existence (1992, a father of a friend of mine went in japan and brought back some computer magazines, along those one called 'technopolis' that was showing parodius for x68000); i tried the  human OS (the x68k operating system) in an emulator and looks like is just at the level of the old 64 GEOS; in my opinion AROS have also the chance to bring a more modern computing experience (preemptive multitasking and other amiga features) to other 68k systems and making them more usable even for retrocomputing purposes...:)
what we need for a x68k port though is for sure kanji/kana support (for video, i seen in wikipedia that is the same kind of card used by many arcade games, and some models used SCSI disks)
