Ok, let me explain myself...
From my personal point of view, this is like trying to fit an enzo  ferrari chassis into a testarossa body... both are very good cars, why  to ruin them?
I understand you would want to put a better (even) turbo on them, or to  change the wheels... or simply pimp them up... but not to turn them into  a  mess...
Do you see my point?
But, if It's funny for you, It's ok for me ;)

What I really hate are modern computers into retro ones, like a peecee  mobo into an amiga case (I know there are some) or into a zx spectrum or  C64...
God!!! Keep It retro!!! :P

As for me, I'll try to keep pimping up my amigas :P

Explanation noted and then discarded ... :)

Still don't see your point ! what is it your trying to say...

In 1995-ish I had a car phone in my 1979 Chevy Monza.  Old meets new, baby! :afro:

It's a good job indeed, very well done.
Maybe it could be more interesting to place an A1200 in a A500 case.
If you're asking why, it think about the bigger case would permit more reliable placing of an internal slim CD-ROM/DVD (I know someone already did in stock A1200, but it's full), and better cooling of processor boards.

With this keeping your Amiga away from "PC towering", in an original Amiga case anyway!  :)

I could never bring myself to put an A1200 in a PC case, they're far too big and awkward to reasonably place anywhere, thats why I ended up making my own custom tower out of wood, less than half the depth and fits neatly under any desk... :)

That's a nice "natural" approach!  :)

PC tower cases "culture" suffers mostly from the common beleif "the bigger, the better".  :D
10 years ago and more, it was ok because of the various mass storage options, CD/DVD/ZIP/Jaz, etc. and the numerous ISA/PCI/AGP boards you had to put inside.
Nowadays it's almost useless, since the strong integration of peripherals and the standardized mass storage solutions (maybe 2 DVD units for on-the-fly CD _legal_ copying, and solid state memories).

It maybe useful for cooling... or for placing an A4000 mobo with a Mediator or similar! :)  (I always dislike the A4000 case: coming from the Commodore PC line).

I really love that! Very neat :)

Like others have said, it's all about being creative and using ingenuity to make something interesting and different. Ingenuity and creativity are the two main reasons for me getting back into Amigas!

Well done

:)

Precisely!!! :) Like a CF card used as a hard disk in a 17 year old or more computer - very cool!

It's a nice hack. Plenty of room for an A600 accelerator as well.
