I know that this post has nothing to do with this thread but after last night's heated little debate,
it came to mind that no matter where we live in this world, whichever colour, creed, religion or
nationality we are, if you just pause and think how lucky we are, that we live in the times that we do.
We only have this freedom of speech thanks to the countless millions who gave their lives and their
futures in all the wars gone by, so that we may pursue what seems in perspective such trivial little matters.
This song and it's lyrics by The Pogues sum up perfectly, just why we should be should be so grateful that we have
the freedom to sit here and express our opinions no matter how trivial or meaningful they may be.
Listen to the lyrics, and then pause for a moment to reflect on just how lucky we are, and give thanks to all who
gave their lives to allow us to have such freedom, and never forget them...
