Maybe the Samantha team want to be quiet until they actually have it ready for release unlike some other bogus announcements that failed to materialize time after time.

Maybe, but it's a lot more likely that they put together a product with the intention of using it as a platform for OS4, started negotiations to try to get a license, got stonewalled, and now are making do with whatever they can get.

Guess they are correct since it's a final "pre-release" of OS4?  If it had been a OS4 release, alot of folks are due some cash and we know neither Hyperion nor Amiga Inc has any money to begin with.
