I have done something to my workbench 3.1 disk as when I boot of it it goes to the dos prompt and not into workbench, how do I get it to boot into workbench again?

at the CLI prompt, type in ...
Loadwb (press enter/return)
endcli (press enter/return)

That'll work, might not even have to end the cli, but check out your startup-sequence or better yet, your user-startup file in the S directory. LoadWB should be the last command. I bet it's missing...

Oh yes of course!
Well what it is is that my CF hd has failed.
OK now that I can get into workbench, partitioned the cf into 2 partitions, I click on the install drawer but now a guru pops up saying 'insert volume ENV in any drive'.
How do I rectify this on my 3.1 install disk? :idea:

insert the following line in the startup-sequence after the setpatch command ...
assign env: ram:
