Yep, and for those "merely curious" like me, here is the list...
Short: TheBigOldChipList- AmigaGuide of Custom Chips

Type: docs/hyper
Version: 1.6
TBOCL - The Big Old Chip List, Version 1.6 In AmigaGuide format
Way back in 1989 when I worked for CBM I kept a paper that had a list
of custom chips that I ran across in my work. The list got a lot
of request and kept growing. When CBM when under I moved
the list to AmigaGuide and planed to upload it to Aminet. Here
it is, years later then I hoped to upload it.
It is a simple idea. It is a AmigaGuide sorted by the chip name
and its function. Within that there is information on the full
chip name, CBM Part Number and Machines used in.
Covers machines from A500 to A4000T (and AA3000/A3000+)
and CDTV(II) to CD32.
If you can ADD to this list of Amiga custom chips or find something
incorrect please email me the chip information to: tbocl@vgr.com

buying any number of off the shelf RAMDAC chips. When we ran into some legal
issues with patents concerning how to build RAMDAC cells, we gave it up and
used an off the shelf part instead (an Analog Devices part I believe)."

The Super DMAC 390537-04 is for the A3000 and is used with the -07 Ramsey
chip. The main need for information on these has to do with using A3640
boards in A3000's. DMAC-04 and Ramsey-07 is the most stable configuration
for running this board. If one is upgraded, the other one must be replaced
as well. I don't think Ramsey-07 will work with SDMAC-02 (DMAC 390537-02
should also be labeled Super DMAC, since the original DMAC chip is found in
the A2000), nor will SDMAC-04 with Ramsey-04. There is also a SDMAC-01
found in very early A3000's but this is a very hot chip and very prone to
failure (hence the upgrade).
