The big problem is that I live in the UK. I gather that the owner just wants it go to a good home. But if anyone is perhaps going to pick up the 030 accelerator and doesn't want the Bodega bay, I'd be willing to pay them, say $100(?), for them to ship it to me
A word of warning: Speaking as an owner of a Bodega Bay, I can assure you shipping would be difficult and expensive.
Honestly, I don't know what shipping rates look like to the UK, but even just shipping it across the US would be VERY expensive. (>$50, most likely) Remember, the Bodega Bay is a box the DEPTH of an A2000, and the WIDTH of an A500 with a GVP A530 (making it wider than an A2000), and nearly the HEIGHT of an A2000 sitting on top of an A500.
The thing is HUGE. It's difficult to stress this enough. I'd have mine hooked up and running, if I had a table large enough to fit it on. I kid you not.
The box, itself, is all metal, so it's fairly heavy, but the side adaptor that comes down and mates with the A500 is a plastic cover over a thinner metal sheet protecting the adaptor board. So, its weight coupled with its size and unique shape make it rather delicate. Especially near the area that plugs to the A500 port.
I fully understand why he doesn't want to sell this item on eBay... Packaging it would be tough, and the chances of it making it through shipping in one piece aren't that good. I was fortunate enough to find mine locally.
