Amiga 4000T and GVP T-REX rev 4 @ 40Mhz
« on: July 22, 2011, 03:42:36 AM »
There something wrong...But I dont know why...

I´m trying to use the GVP T-REX rev 4 @ 40Mhz on my Amiga 4000T, but it doesn't work, doesn't boot...

BUT...When I put the GVP T-REX rev 4 @ 40Mhz on my Amiga 4000D, it works like charm...

Works on A4000D but it doesn't work on my A4000T....

Anyone knows what I´m doing wrong?

(sorry for my bad English)

First, make sure that the clock jumpers on the motherboards are set the same way, either Int or Ext.

Second, there is a strange jumper on that card for whether there is a CPU on the motherboard or not, JP4.

If the 4000D has a CPU on the motherboard, you may try removing JP4 on the T-Rex when you are using it on the 4000T.

I do not know whats wrong  ! ! ! !
Works Perfect on Amiga 4000D... but not on Amiga 4000T

I will sell it and buy another accelerator for A4000T !

If the clock jumpers on both the 4000D and 4000T are set to the same setting, I've never seen a card work in one but not the other.

The 4000T can take a lot longer to boot if there are no IDE, SCSI or floppy drives connected.

If you have none of those, then all three have to time out in sequence before it will try to boot.

The 4000D only has up to two that need to time out.
