Longest time running for an amiga?

i think longest time was a few weeks spent pratting about with read3D i got off a coverdisk. got some pretty good models built and laid out. then the rendering...
A500 with 2Meg chip. about 1991/2
what else... maybe some weekends with vista, or mandlebrot progs generating anims.
on A500 / A1200
then i think the last heavy bout was converting interlace MJPEG's recorded on the digital broadcaster to progressve mpegs via arexx feeding imageFX then some jpeg/mpeg frame stacker. maybe a weekend+ to convert about two hours DVD quality video on an 060... that was about 2003...

none of my machines have actually been on at all for ages... might fire up the 1200/030 just for something amiga'ish on the network

not done any mega uptimes to compair to bbs's but might crack out 3D on the A500 for old times sake

Whats the longest you've ever had an amiga be turned on in one sitting?

My 1200 has currently been powered on for over 3 months... That matches about the longest stretch for me I think. I have rebooted it during this time, I am talking about actually turning the power off. My signature should give away why I keep it on 24/7.

hmm.. 24/7/365 since 93' or so to now.. This A4000 has only been off for repairs or upgrades. It started life as a 040/25mhz A3640,but i got it with a warpengine 040/40 and the piv came around 96' i think , and then a cyberstorm MK2 060,then cyberstorm PPC..ironically all this ran just fine all these years with the stock psu(it still works today!) and i didn't lose a psu until i put this in a elbox tower and mediator.The cheap atx psu died 6 months later and i have put a total of 3 in it since its been towered.it still runs everyday and is in use.current config is cyberstorm ppc 060/60 604e/233 128M ram,Mediator with voodoo 4 4500,sb128,tv card,deneb USB,100Mbit ethernet,fastlane z3 with 128M ram,and i use a 32GIG kingston CF as a system drive via the cyberstorm ppc scsi and acard UWscsi->ide bridge and a 500GB ide hd as a storage drive,dvd burner,also on the UWscsi.I think i paid $1000 (seemed like a million dollars at the time :)for this machine with the warp engine in 93 from a friend and seem to have gotten my moneys worth.Takes a lickin' and keeps on ticking

My Amiga 1200 has been in continuous use since 1995, and it's had uptimes of more than a year at a time:

Maybe it's cheating to count NetBSD uptime since it has memory protection, but it's still an Amiga.

Looks like I misunderstood the question. I have had my Amiga powered on 24/7/365 since June of 1989. I have only taken it down for upgrades and moves from house to house. Oh I also had it down for 13 years from 1995 to 2008 when I didn't own one. :lol:

The 'amiga university' A2000 webserver has been online almost nonstop since March of 2000.  There were only a couple brief periods of offline (backups and disk rebuild once) in the first 8-9 years - last fall we upgraded our DSL to a faster speed - which hasn't been kind to the Amiga, requires a lot more reboots now - I think the spiders just over do it when browsing the site, despite an updated robots.txt, etc.

And yes, there are many pages with broken links - if I was as organized as I'd prefer, I'd be fixing them far faster - doh!
