This kit include the release 5.82 of DOpus Magellan, and Mister Greg Perry said that is not legal... and what about makecd ?

if you want to put it on a 1200, you will need to create a volume names 'amikit' (look at the log install with makeCD), and put all the add-ons (C/L/Libs,...) in your boot partition.
Keep the Faith !

:admonish: When did you speak with Greg Perry? And why it is not legal??? I am really curious because GPSoftware does NOT own the licence and copyrights of Amiga Directory Opus Magellan II anymore! GuruMediatation.se has bought the licence from them and I got a permission from GuruMeditation to redistribute this software in AmiKit! It's written at AmiKit website after all...

With regards to MakeCD, I got the permission from their authors as well!

(Note that both products included in AmiKit are NOT registered!)

I know this must be a dumb question but why would I not be able to run this fine-sounding kit on something other than OS3.9 or AF2005?

you can use AmigaOS3.9 CD or OS-XL CD as well!

With regards to WB3.1, well, there are lot of missing features if compared to OS3.9. But if you're skilled enough, you can copy your WB3.1 files to AmiKit manually...

I am using it now, Version 1.02,its brilliant on my Athlon 2000+XP with 512DDR ram.
I have installed a lot from my original 1200 onto AmiKit it all works fine.
Along with both Boing Bags 1 and 2.
Its fast and powerfull, I mean realy realy fast.
Using AWeb that comes with AMiKit all graphics load in straight away on web pages.
My original setup is Amiga 1200T, Apollo Turbo MkIII 030 at 40Mhz with 32 meg Fastram,  Mediator 1200SX, Fast Ehternet PCI, 128 Sound card PCI, Voodoo 3 PCI.
6.5Gig HD.
I have to say AmiKit leaves it standing still.
I can use any of the sound program software at full belt with no pwer loss what so ever.
At the moment I am running Athlon 2000+XP Windows XP Pro, with 512 DDR ram, giving AmiKit an 040, with 4 meg Chip ram, and 128Meg Fastram, using OS3.9.
With DOpus Megallan 2 its a total new Amiga with no problems what so ever so far that is.
I am 100% pleased with it.
The software that comes with it is amazing to say the least, well worth using.

Mike.
Amiga 1200, 82gb HD, 4 way IDE\'97, DVD Multi-Recorder, OS3.9, BB1,BB2, Apollo Turbo MkII 030/40, 32meg Fastram, 4Gb CF card PCMCIA slot, IDE CF card adaptor 4Gb CF card, HP 810C, Alba HDTV, Converted PC PSU. I had a quick play with it over the past couple of days. Two words - it rocks!
I have tried AIAB, AmigaSYS, etc - nothing comes closer to real Amiga than AmiKit. Good work!
I'm still new to the scene (have an A1200 but used mainly for gaming) so don't think of my comments as being authoritative by any means  :-D
