Both SimCity 2k and Colonization bang the hardware. I find it unlikely they'll run on NG hardware like the A1. Do you mean they run under OS4 on BPPC/CPPC?

Well,
both support RTG, so when used with NallePuh, they should work.

Hmmm, didn't this NallePuh program have heavy dependencies on existance of a 68k MMU ? Not sure, never tried it, though...

I think to remember, though that there was a screenshot with Colonization running on OS 4 once... not sure if it was CSPPC or A1, though...

What about OS 4 Native programs ? Is there a place on this list also ? Or maybe including a link to the
Amiga Wiki (were there exists such a list) would be an idea ?

Hyperion released Colonization screenshot from OS4/CSPPC ;) This was around May 2003 IIRC.

However music driver in Colonization needs Paula and CIA timers. Disabling driver from command line helps but there can be some random enforcer hits here and there...

@Lempkee:

You really tried it on A1 and it was working in full? :-)

@MagicSN

Good idea, I'll add a link to that (and AHS) this evening.

@MagicSN
Nope! Good old Winnie (Nalle Puh is the Swedish name for Winnie the Pooh) runs perfectly on WinUAE, which doesn't emulate the MMU of the 68k CPUs IIRC.

whabang??

The way NallePuh works is by catching accesses to custom chip memory and registers and redirecting them. This *must* have the MMU to work.

Someone once sent me the readme for a program called "PuhDerBaer", is this the same ? Anyways, THIS program definitely had heavy dependencies from existance of a 68k MMU. Not sure if this NallePuh is the same program, though...

Well, it was ported to Amithlon so I guess it won't be impossible to have it on OS4.

On MOS if they released some info about how to manage virtual memory it would be possible.

Care to say why they would not work? Have you tested them?
