The case seem to be just as any other case realy, I'm still waiting for someone to make a metalcase that looks as the original case and with window options for nice neon styling. :-D

One of the simplest and yet attractive materials to use for a computer case is  'Phenolic' .

 It's primary function  by design is an electrical insulator.  It comes as rounds , tubes , flat sheets
 both hollow and solid . It's easily machineable  lightweight and strong. anyone who has worked on an old radio or similar electronics will reconize it ... and with a little thought , it can be made into a near perfect computer case.   It really is neat looking...... :idea:  :idea:

phenolic? where might one look for this material? is it easy to mold? come on gimmie iam not a slacker, i want to try this.

 Perhaps in a electrical surplus stores , is a good starting point, then a electronic distrubitor , try the yellow pages ... it may be listed under composites...
 it's normally comes a laminated product .. if your careful  it can be formed by drape molding .. it's very simple ...I'm sure you could buy it as a loose aggragate , like sawdust and add a binder  and then mold it... use your imagination...
