Hi there,
I just attempted to copy some files from my XP PC to my A1200 via the network (Using KS3.0+WB3.0+DOPUS+SMBFS+AmiTCP3.0B2+3C589D drivers). During the transfer it seems that SMBFS must of hit some files with crasy long file names, since rather than displaying the usual "file not found" error message, SMBFS caused a software failure, and has since left me with a directory that I cannot delete on the destination drive.
Usually DOPUS just comes up with the "File not found" error when it can't find a file due to the file name being too long, but this time it's crashed the system. Inpspecting what files did get copied and those that were not shows that the copy halted on some saved web pages with 50+ character file names.
EDIT: ~84 Character file name(s) caused the crash...
Hope someone can help me get rid of the corrupt dir,
Hodgkinson.
