I replaced my A3000 battery. You need a 50 to 75 watt soldering iron with a small tip. Remove the motherboard. Heat the solder connection of one of the battery connectors from the underside of the board and when the solder melts, you will be able to remove the connector. Do the same with the other connector. You will now be confronted with the two connector holes in the motherboard obstructed with solder.
Now you need to have or acquire a solder remover which is a small spring loaded pump with a pointed tube on the end. You load the pump by pushing a lever. You'll probably need help for the next step. Heat the solder in one of the connector holes from the back of the board while your girlfriend presses the tip of the solder remover on the same hole but on the other side. When the solder liquifies, your gilfriend pulls the trigger and suck the solder out! Do the other hole, tin the connectors on the new battery, and it is a simple matter to solder it in. :-o :-o
