this thing has nothing to do (as far as i know) with the files in C dir. try to change the config of the cd file system you use. if you have for example the standard from os3.9 search for/and run the ChaceCDFS prog/icon in the Prefs dir of your boot disk and try to alter some stuff there BUT only using the USE button. if you can find a setup that works THEN you can press the SAVE button, to keep the new settings.
