Sorry to hear about that mate.
If I can guess, the worst part of the whole ordeal was probably having to wait in the waiting room of the A&E for however many hours....oh, our wonderful NHS!

Dogs like that need to be disciplined - unless a dog is mad, it only has its owner to blame for such behaviour. Some people just shouldn't own dogs!

If anything, cats can be more dangerous as they don't have the pack instinct like dogs do. It's just that people are more intimidated by dogs with all their teeth and their barking.
I have dogs bark at me all the time when I'm out walking my dog (in the country, everyone has them), and the thing you notice, is how much power they have over people afraid of dogs, but if you just tell them to shut up and go away (firmly), they usually do!

Also, a cats claws can be VERY painful. The little blighters dig their claws in when you stroke them - either they are doing so because they are in some kind of (pseudo-)sexual arousal and the claws come out involuntarily, or they're vicious little {bleep}ers. Either way, its not nice to have a cat dig its claws into you.

Speaking of which...

Does anyone know a surefire way to get your dog to put his willy away?

Sorry, the use of 'surefire' and 'willy' in the same sentence...? ;-)

Does your dog have balls? Mine doesn't and he only gets the old chap out when he's seriously excited (usually when we go for a walk through the woods, his favourite place because of all the fresh scents). As to getting him to put it away, why do you need to? He is a dog afterall! :-)
