Wait, the whole idea of these newfangled App stores that are to bring us new and exciting, usable apps for our machines, right?

No, that's just what Amiga users dream of when they hear the term "App store".

From the vendor's point of view, an Amiga app store just lowers the bar for impulse purchases - plus it's a new 'project', and Amiga users have a rather unhealthy habit of throwing money at new projects without thinking too much about it. It's all about "supporting the Amiga", you know.

Good Amiga releases create decent revenue even without an app store - Entwickler X published some sales numbers a while ago, which prove that. An app store simply makes it easier to sell not-so-good stuff.

Do you have a link? I would be very interested in seeing those numbers.

(keep in mind that this is an OS4 only release)
