Almost 42,000 views and counting, that's damn impressive. It would be nice for a story to get that many views on Amiga.org.

Well you should have made a news announcement out of it...maybe you would have got more views. It's probably the single biggest Amiga story in the last several  years (even if it's still in "hint" status), and there is no news item posted about it.

I don't see any support for external ram for the XCore, let alone DDR 2 (3)

That's because it isn't the main CPU.  It's part of Xena/Xorro.  The main cpu is a PA Semi cpu
