Personally, I agree that resorting to an ignore list is childish.
You can't ignore certain posters without electronic censoring?
Do you feel compelled to answer posts that offend you?
How do you deal with the possibility that your filter may exclude you from a post that tickles that compulsion?

I did try the ignore list once on the advice of the mods but soon put that down to bad advice. In the real world even if someone says something I don't like or disagree with I would never walk away or just ignore them...
I would simply argue/ debate my point or answer back in kind until one of us finally gave up and called it quits...
You won't learn much in life if you just conveniently ignore others just because they have a different point of view from yourself...
