Sysinfo peculiarities
« on: June 30, 2013, 10:27:14 AM »
Now... when I run Sysinfo on my stock A600/A500 the speed is 0.75 of A2000.
How come ? All those Amigas are 7MHz 68000.

Because it is only 75% the speed of the A2000 in the processor speed test?

Yes, but why :)
A500, A600, and A2000 have the same CPU.

Does A2000 come with FAST RAM by default ? That could explain the difference.
When I add FAST RAM to my A600 it is then equal to A2000.

Oh boy, nobody understands me :)

Stock A500 and stock A600, noooo FAST RAM, give the result of 0.75 compared to stock A2000.
Why ?
All those Amigas have the same 68000 7MHz CPU.

Do stock A2000s come with FAST RAM ? That would explain the difference in speed. If not, then how is it faster with the same CPU and CHIP RAM alone.
