One time I saw one of those big garbage cans out in front of someone's house the day before garbage pickup. There was like 6 monitors in there (under a sack of mostly empty beer bottles). I knocked on the guy's door to ask if I could root through his garbage but he wasn't there, so I went home, got a wagon and hauled those bad boys home. Too bad only 2 powered up, and one of those had no brightness control so it was dark. The other I used for a few months until it exploded. But, the coolest thing was that I got to smash 5 dead monitors with a sledge hammer! WOOHOO!! Turns out that tossing them up in the air doesn't cause much damage.
