Yer true. Mhz doesn't mean crap (as seen on many a post on Amiga.org). Even the x86 world has drastic differences now. AMD Athlon XP 3000+ with the barton core running at 2166Mhz (or thereabout) compares very well against a P4 3.06Ghz in benchmarks and real world tests... Enough said.

The power efficiency of CPU's do add up in the long term. In the laptop world Apple's use of powerPC's was always the more efficient in terms of power usage, which makes them more trully portable than the x86 bunch. Although an x86 laptop in the winter would be a great source of heat.

Anyways I am seriously itching for a new Amiga :) As soon as I see that AmigaOS 4.0 is shipping I will be buying an AmigaOne for sure;)
