ooooh so if I have 2 negative feedback on my ebay acct its ok to talk sh** to me but if Jens is 16 months late honoring a warranty,  its ok?

Heck no, post up BR.  Jens is nobody special and neither is any Amiga company.  He thinks HE'S frustrated??? Shi* we've been frustrated for YEARS, hop on the frustration ship Jens, we're all pissed off!

Alex,
I didn't want to get into this thread, but I guess I better. I have never known Jens not to honor a warranty. I can only think of 1 defective product I've heard of and it was replaced. I have sold many hundred of his products over time.

I don't know the whole story with BR, but I would suspect there is more to it. Please keep in mind we have not heard from Jens or even Amigakit on this, just BR. I have emailed Jens to let him know of this thread, but he is moving right now and may not have an internet connection. I respect Amigakit, Individual Computers and BR who has been a past customer of mine. I suspect a breakdown of communication.

BTW Jens being frustrated at one point has nothing to do with BR's issue, afaik. That was also probably a personal email taken out of context.

Maybe if he didn't offer to ship warantee covered parts,

a community that is purchasing his products wouldn't get

I'm never going to see the mach chip he said he'd send
me 15 months ago.

Please PM me with the details of what happened, maybe I can help.

I'll have to agree on the lack of warranty.  When I picked up my C-One, it took 4 months for him to send him a flash chip to make it work.  I later picked up a RR-Net card for the C64, it didn't work.  Protovision told me that they wouldn't support me and to get with Jens.  4 months after repeated emails to Jens, I was told to send it back to him.  3 months after that I asked where it was and was told 'I never got it' and never heard from him again.

Sigh and Protovision is not here to comment either.

For future referance, I just spoke with my postman. I was told that if the sender doesn't notify the recipient they are sending something, provide a tracking number, or send the something via registered mail, the only way they can trace or find out what happened to the something being sent is for
the sender to initiate a search or trace.

There is the problem with mailing items internationally. Unless you pay a premium, you don't get any sort of tracking ability. Putting a trace on un-registered mail that has no tracking ability is a complete and total waste of time. This is why I typically only use USPS Express mail when selling to people outside the USA. Even for the smallest items it will cost the buyer $30+ but I would have no recourse otherwise if the recipient claims non-delivery.

I bought a Xsurf II on ebay for $44 w/o shipping.  Now that I've seen the support I'll be getting I do not want it.  you can have it for $40 shipped (if you're in the USA).

Alex,
What type of support did you require for a used X-Surf? If it was drivers or instructions etc I could have easily helped you.

I'm talking repair.  What if something went wrong and I recieved the same hassle?  I'd rather deal w/a company that is more willing to help.  I have other Amiga NIC cards so I dont care to offload this for cheap also.

A 2nd hand used X-Surf would likely be out of warranty. Don't get me wrong, you are entitled to your opinion. I would just like to go on the record to state I have sold many hundred of Individual Computers products since between 2003-2006 and now 2008 forward without a single person dissatisfied due to warranty issues.

I'm not trying to discount anyone's experience, just try to bring another perspective. If I would recommend anything it would be to deal with your reseller almost exclusively if possible for support when dealing with warranty issues.
