From the not quite Amiga, but related category;-)

I am still looking for a C128D in excelent condition. Must work 100%, with little or no blemishes. No yellowing. Will pay a fair price, must be packed for shipping properly and insured. Lemme know.

Mods: If too off topic feel free to move. IIRC Wayne was always pretty tolerant of Amiga's older siblings, but I'll understand if I'm wrong:-)

-Edit-
Also looking for many CMD products.

I've thought of selling it many times, but I have an "un-natural" attachment to it! (Plus, if I sold it, I'd have to face how pitifully little I could get for it!)
-------

Out of curiosity, why are you looking?

Little you can get for it? CMD products hold their value much better than any Amiga products. You'd probably be suprised what it's worth.

Why am I looking? For a very long time I've wanted to scrap most other hobbies and just get back to playing with my favorite platform of all time, C= 8bitters. Now I'm actually doing it. Currently I have a Vic20 hooked up tinkering with the ML Monitor cart (Vic 1213). I'm also playing with a unique floppy drive, the MSD SD-2. Tonight I'll probably go online with a C64 and chat on IRC. Just having fun. My ultimate goal is to max out a C128D as my primary hobby computer. I'm willing to drop some $$ into it.

Edit:
BTW any chance you can send me a copy of the Computer Eyes software? Either by email or snail mail? I have the hardware, but I don't think I have the software.

Hey Alex:-) Keep in touch with your progress. I'm real happy so far with my decision to get back to the 8bitters.

BTW I'm probably going to join in this IRC channel tonight, you should too if you have time.

Hello, C= and Ami friends,
       #c64friends on /server irc.eskimo.com will officially start at 9
p.m. EST (6 p.m. PST, 02:00 GMT) this Saturday. If that server doesn't
work, we will use /server irc.aohell.org   To get a log of the past weeks'
chats and/or to connect to #c64friends at the website, go to
http://www.geocities.com/c64friends
Last week the topics of discussion on #c64friends included such
things as the C64 DTV and its quirks, reports from the World of Commodore,
pizza, joystick extension cables, Jim Brain's PSXJoy adapter, DTV programming,
the QVC television channel, and connecting the Commodore to a Palm ethernet
cradle.

BTW, among other things, I have an SX64 -- the last time I fired it up, the display was "scrambled" -- it would still load programs, etc.

Any experience with those? Is there some part that is known to fail that can be replaced?

No specific experience with the SX64 in repairs. I would guess though that you may be able to open it up and reseat the socketed chips. I assume the chips are socketed, and I'd assume maybe the VicII chip came loose.

Sure -- it'll be a good excuse to set up everything again.

I'd definately much appreciate it:-)

I may have a C128D lined up, but I am actively looking to buy ANY rare/interesting/neat C= 8bit stuff.

MANUALS at this point are a focal point. Vic20 Programmers Reference Guide would be a good start. Anyone?

@Frostwolf

May be interested in the drives. Also interested in any manuals you may have, or anything unusual. You in the USA?

@-D-

Saw that C128D, gonna keep an eye on it. However I did buy a C128D last night.

Next up, looking for a Turbo232 interface. I'm going to make a homebrewed adapter, but ultimately I want one of these.
