CSPPC - SCSI issues?
« on: July 31, 2004, 08:30:45 PM »
I've finally got an UWSCSI drive to use with my CS-PPC. To begin it was no problem. I got it set up, partitioned and formatted no problem. Then using an existing OS3.9 installation on a hard drive connected to the internal IDE port, I installed OS3.9 via CD to the new hard drive.

Everything looked fine, until I attempt to boot from this drive, no go. It appears to start loading, probably does setpatch, crashes and reboots.

Ideas? I'm pretty new to using the SCSI on the CSPPC.

One thing that's a pain is this SCSI drive take forever to spin up :-x

Damn SCSI devices on the CSPPC seem to work fine until i try to boot OS3.9 from it.

With the IDE drive disconnected I can now boot with no startup sequence.. hrmph..
