WinUAE & IBrowse question
« on: May 14, 2004, 04:58:10 PM »
I'm trying to get IBrowse running in WinUAE.

First... I'd like to use Termite TCP .........
How do I get TCP to open a connection with the com port?
Whats the correct name for the com ports?
Serial.device doesn't work.

Has anyone connected to the net through IBrowse or
AWeb etc. ??
How ??  I'm new at UAE.

@MadGun

Hello MadGun ... hows it going??

I had the BSDSocket selected but it didn't open
a connection to the com port.
Also what about a dialer ??

@Matt_H

Thanks .. I'll try that.

Still, is there no way to get around using
the Windows dialer??

@llWrath

I tried using the Windows dialer ........
When I start IBrowse it drops me out of UAE and
back to the Windows screen. Don't know why yet....

I'm going to try the game port thing.
I really would prefer to use Termite TCP, its very
stable on my Amiga. I don't find Genesis very stable
on my Amiga, I quit using it quite sometime ago.

@llWrath

With the BSDSocket turned off it will let me view local files.

I tried setting the game port settings but Termite still
doesn't reconize Com2 as a serial port.
It expects some kind of device name other than just Com2.

MUI seems ok, IBrowse won't even boot if MUI isn't right.

As I said .. I'm new to UAE ... got alot to learn.
