I was never that big a fan of Pantera, I liked most of their stuff, but I never went out of my way to listen to them.  I still haven't heard anything by Damage Plan either.  But bloody hell...

Glad the policeman was there and killded the bugger, but that's way too good for him.

Final Murder Victim Named

The final victim to be named in the Ohio club massacre which took the lives of Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell, fan Nathan Bray and roadie Erin Halk is Damageplan's tour manager Jeff Thompson (pictured).

A photo of Nathan Gale, the man who police allege shot and killed four people and wounded an undetermined number of others at Wednesday's Damageplan show, has been posted online along with details of his background which pertain to "mental health issues."

I got Kerrang for the first time in months today to read about Dimebag.  They said that the guy shot him in the head 5 times.  5!?

I never saw it that way at all.  I couldn't honestly care about Phil now.  After all the sh*t that happened when he left Pantera and seeing interviews with him afterwards he was the self-proclaimed saviour of Pantera.  He was what made the band apparently (which in a sense was true, but they were looking for a change of direction before Phil joined them anyway).  I just cannot see past his inflated ego to care about him anymore.  Which is a shame because he was a great frontman when he was in Pantera.

I think (and hope) Vinnie will be okay.  He always seemed to be the stronger of the brothers to me.
