IMHO, trillian is great, but ICQ and MS hate the fact it exists and seem to do all they can to break compatibility with each 'update' to their services.

I wouldnt give msnm the steam from my pee on a cold day and ICQlite (since it went all ads) isnt a lot better these days.

You can use trillian with an existing msnm passport so no need to soil your system with that shocking excuse for a piece of software ;-)

Sounds like an older version.

Perhaps your trojan was due to  using a cracked version of what is a commercial product?

As for the other problems you list, never encountered them. Trillian is updated rather often, several patches are already out for 2.0...

My original words didnt come out quite as intended either, but you get my drift - cracks often appear for stuff and turn out to be more than you bargain for ;-)
