Pah, I knew a guy that had an A500 with a Progressive Peripherals 33MHz 68040 board. That thing would kick yours into touch :p

There were quite a few accelerators. Some sat in the 68000 socket and some in a sidecar expansion.

The Progressive Peripherals PP40-500 was the daddy though. It was phenomenally expensive as I recall. It gave you more CPU horsepower than your A500 could know what to do with.
