I love contradictions in music. I discussed this with another guy I know, and his thought was that our perception of music has similarities with humour. It's an aspect of our cultural perception 'decision tree'. Contradictions forces us to make decisions.
I'd rather listen to this. Perhaps not original, but at least it doesn't tear my emotions in two.
